About Poteet VFD

The Poteet Volunteer Fire Department serves the community in providing emergency services in response to fires, car accidents, and other situations where our assistance is needed.  We also provide fire safety training to local schools and help to promote fire safety in our community.  We also assist EMS with patient movement and investigate gas leaks as requested.

History: 

The Poteet Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1947.

In 2025, Poteet VFD became part of the newly formed Atascosa County ESD 2.
